The battery can be positioned in several places on your VAE:
– Horizontally, at the level of the rear luggage rack
– On the frame
– Integrated in the frame, in the down tube
The position of the battery is an important criterion, especially if you are looking for a sporty and particularly agile bike. In this case, avoid the battery on the luggage rack because the masses located vertically to the cyclist are less sensitive. Prefer a bike whose battery is positioned on or in the frame.
The battery in the rear rack remains the most common solution today.
The battery on the down tube of the bike allows in particular to lower the center of gravity. It is an ideal solution for touring or touring bikes designed to carry luggage.
